Privacy Policy

Overview

Truckee Snowbotics (FTC Team #32587) operates the website at snowbotics.org. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

We collect information only when you voluntarily submit it to us:

• Contact form — When you send us a message, your name, email address, and message content are processed by Formspree and forwarded to our team email. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.
• Sponsorship inquiries — If you contact us about sponsorship, we may retain your contact information to follow up.

We do not use analytics or advertising services, and we do not set our own cookies. The one exception is the live event stream on our Season page, described under Third-Party Services below.

Third-Party Services

• GitHub Pages — This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log standard server access data (IP address, browser type, page requested). See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
• Formspree — Our contact form is powered by Formspree. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
• YouTube and Twitch (live event streams) — While one of our events is on air, the Season page embeds the event's stream from YouTube (using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode) or Twitch. The stream loads and starts playing automatically, muted, only on that page and only during an event. Once it loads, YouTube or Twitch may receive your IP address and device information and may set cookies or similar identifiers. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Twitch Privacy Notice. If you would rather not load these services, you can skip the Season page during events.
• Google Calendar (event calendar) — The Season page embeds a public Google Calendar. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which may set cookies and collect usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Hack Club Bank (HCB) — Donations are processed through HCB. See Hack Club's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We do not store personal data on our own servers. Information submitted via our contact form is retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry.

Children's Privacy

Our website is operated by and for students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without parental consent. Contact us if you have concerns.
