How to Join
Everything you need to know about becoming part of Truckee Snowbotics:
Any student at Tahoe-Truckee High School is welcome to join, along with incoming freshman in middle school. No prior robotics experience required.
Meetings are held Mondays and Fridays after school from 2:30-4:00 PM in M5. Any updates will be posted in respective channels. Build Season is approximately September to February.
Post-season meetings are held on Mondays after school in M5 for planning and preparation for the next season along with fun activities.

What is FTC?
FIRST Tech Challenge — robotics competition for students in grades 7–12.
Each season, FIRST releases a new game in September. Teams design, build, and program a robot to compete in a specific game objective, with matches played on a 12×12 ft field.
The build season runs from September to January. Teams compete at qualifier tournaments, then advance to regional championships, and top teams qualify for the World Championship.
Students gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, electrical systems, programming (Java/Kotlin), CAD design, project management, and teamwork.
FTC awards points not just for on-field performance but also for engineering documentation, outreach, and gracious professionalism — FIRST's core value of competing with integrity.

Businesses and individuals who sponsor Snowbotics may be eligible to deduct their contribution as a charitable donation. We can provide donation receipts and documentation upon request.
All funds go directly toward robot parts, competition registration fees, travel to tournaments, tools, and educational materials for team members.
